Casino Pages No Longer Updated

I used to be an active blackjack player, and used to play in many tournaments. I was then also an active Video Poker player, but now the local casinos have removed all the interesting machines. It's their loss - my wife and I were a source of many thousands of dollars a year to them, despite the fact that we made more from jackpots than they did from us. (They still end up ahead - the money in the jackpots is mostly money that they would have had to pay out to someone eventually). As a result, I'm no longer putting any effort into keeping the casino pages up to date, and the information will now age quickly - some faster than others.

There doesn't seem to be anywhere else that Australian casino information is recorded, so I have kept the pages going as a sort of service to the community. There are a few gambling pages that link to them, because there isn't anywhere else that this information is published. But now I realise that keeping them here, even in their somewhat inaccurate state, may be discouraging others from publishing their own pages, and that would be a shame. Unfortunately, although several people have offered sites to publish these pages, no-one has offered to do any of the work of keeping them up to date.

So as of late January 1999, these pages will not be updated. You are welcome to use the information in them, verbatim if you like. I only ask for a brief acknowledgement, such as "this table was based on information provided by Mike Van Emmerik".

If someone starts up a suitable page or pages, I'll remove mine (except for a link to theirs) right away. Otherwise, I'll just leave the pages as they are, until they are so out of date as to become an embarrasment.
