Spent 7 days cruising on the elegant Holland America Ryndam from Vancouver, BC to Seward, AK. This was a poker cruise sponsored by Classic Poker Cruises (See poker board for details on the poker). The ship casino was small and contained 4 BJ tables with typically $5 to $100 limits. Higher limits can be requested.

Rules were typical 6-decks, DAS, S17. Penetration varied from poor to excellent depending on dealer and mood, I would guess. You can split to only 2 hands as I tried to split to 3 hands and was forced to back off to 2 hands.

The Ryndam shuffle is trackable, however, it is far from easy. They plug the discards "onto" the top and bottom, then a straight forward shuffle to 1 stack, then a break into 2 stacks and a step ladder shuffle to 2 stacks then they stack the remaining 2 stacks on top of one another.

A small blackjack tournament is held on 1 day of the cruise where the entry fee is only $10. I didn't participate in the BJ tournament as I was playing in a higher stakes poker tournament a deck below.
