Sorry, didn't tell you about rules in post above. Rules are not ideal, there is no doubling the soft hands, but you can double 8-11. I'm trying to remember if you can double after the split--I believe you can, I must have been on a helluva run last time if you can't! I can't remember exactly the resplit rules either--check the casino listings for London/UK on this site, or ask Michael via e-mail.

I never found any casinos offering insurance. It's definitely a tougher game than most US casinos, but they do give you that great pen and ability to see all the cards. Games are face-up, by the way. You'll find some 2D but it will be pricey.

Every city of any size in the U.K. will have a casino, usually several. I belong to casinos in Manchester, Brighton, Brimingham, etc.
