While they advertise the most liberal rules in Wisconsin over the radio and announce on their web site that dealers stand on soft 17, I found things to be different when I was there on Friday afternoon, Oct 23.

They really had these following conditions: Four of eight tables in play, six deck shoe games, fair pen, H17, DOA, Ds, Ls, Rs2.

According to my calculations that comes out to a basic strategy disadvantage greater than -.50%. So it appears LCO odds are only slightly better than the Ho-Chunk Nation casinos at -.57% and much worse than the St. Croix Casino which is -.31% and good pen.

Who was it that said, "Never give a sucker a break."

Maybe they figure once you're there you'll play. But I had to drive by the St Croix Casino in Turtle Lake on my way home. So I waited to play there. I'm sure glad I did. I had more tables and games to choose from, a nice win in less than a half-hour, and I enjoyed a good meal afterwards.
