What I regard bothersome is when ANYBODY exhibits impatience to consider specific points of logic/rationale raised by any poster... to be swiftly dismissed on a premise of certain non-causative and unrelated generalizations. That is of course, when the point made itself happens to be logical or truthful.

I regard an open mind and intellectual honesty to be essential for one for own growth and learning based on truth. An ability to distinguish fact from fiction and the wheat from the chaff without feeling threatened (ego). Besides, there are a lot of shades between black and white positions.

Such mind limitations as:

"He is from the West (or wherever he may be from) so his views must be ALL crazy and unworthy of listening", or conveying it to be so, and,

"His posts have spelling errors, then he can't have any logic to ALL his arguments", or meaning it to be so, and,

"Poster said card counting is over-rated, so he MUST be a totally ignorant in bj", or repeating it to be time and again, and,

"Poster can't have any good logic/reasoning, because he is from PATAGONIA..." etc., and maintaining it to be so again and again, etc.

A rigid position as always staying contrarian, regardless of perceived notions just leads one to "stalkers", "flakes", "ghosts" and whatever all made in the mind of such rigid thinking or mindset.

The answer is flexibility, better understanding of the greater range of variety of experiences and personal views. The mountain has many sides and each is viewing from his own position and perspective.
