it`s foolish to use progressive betting in the game of BJ. You can keep it for roulette or any other BS, but playing BJ to win, you MUST count. But that`s just the beginning. In shoe games, it sometimes doesn`t work. Why? Read BJ winners handbook by Jerry Patterson, will open your eyes. (thank you Mr. Patterson). there`s much more you need to do, but I won`t say nothing else, do your homework
