News letter #7  April/1998 The Gamblers Choice...News letter #7 Vol 1 issue 7  Welcome once again to The Gamblers Choice, it's been a strange winter and I for one am glad to see the last of it. Welcome to Spring. ************************************************************ Slot Talk ********* It seems that everyone who plays the slots has one burning question they want answered......Where are those loose slots? There are many answers to this slot question but don't spend your money on a book to learn the answers. Everybody wants to know the answer to this question and believe me, it is not an easy question to answer because it begs many more questions. For example; Where are the loose slots in Nevada? in Vegas? on the strip? Downtown? in which Casino? where in the casinos? We are not trying to be cute or evasive but merely trying to show the complexity of the question. OK here goes, the most common answer is, loose slots are placed at the end of the aisles, it is believed that if they are placed where people walk by they will generate excitement and interest for others. Individuals will often tell you what Casino has the best Loose slots. This advice comes from the fact they have won on the slots in a particular Casino and therefore consider the slots to be loose. Some casinos place "loose" slots randomly but they are are loose only to the extent that they have frequent but smaller payoffs. If carefully studied you will find that they will take your money a little slower than the "regular" slots but they will take your money. Don't sweat all the slot lore, it's just that, play the slots to have fun, you can spend a lifetime trying to figure them out and never really succeed. Have fun and if you win it's a bonus. More on slots next time. New slot Tournament feature. **************************** We are busy working with one of our sponsors to deliver a "Free" slot tournament to you. Roulette at the Flying Eagle **************************** This happened to me at the Flying Eagle Casino on Tuesday April 07/98. My luck seemed to be all bad at the slots and so I decided a little change of pace at the roulette table was in order. I stepped up to a table with 5 other players, laid down 50.00 and got 50 dollar chips. As soon as the icon was removed from the table I made my usual and long standing bet by surrounding number 26. One chip on the number and one on each of the four lines around it. The ball was fired and sped around and around finally dropping down and stopping on, you guessed it, 26 for 103.00 dollars. Elated by my immediate win I just left my bet on 26 and waited for the second spin. That little ball ran right for the same slot and a repeat win on 26. Another 103.00 dollars, I quickly cashed in tipped the dealer and walked away like the boy that stole the pie. I'm sure the players around that table thought I knew something and I did. I knew I was damn lucky. I checked out the table 8 spins later and 26 had not come up again. ********* Maybe you have a story to share with the rest of us, why don't you tell it on Casino talk, I'd love to hear from you. I'm going to keep these letters short and send them out more often. Cheers and good luck. Bill Konrad
