Visited Casino Yesterday, 11/11/96
Arrived 5PM, Departed 8PM.
Played blackjack for the better part of 2 hours
with the following to report:
1. Sorry to say, I must confirm cut card. They are
cutting 2 decks and dealing 4. This was consistent
from dealer to dealer. Tried to toke a dealer into
moving it back by placing a bet for dealer. When dealer
didn't move cut card back, I PULLED back the toke!
2. Have to confirm that there is NO splitting of 10s.
3. The place was NOT crowded. Many many seats available,
even at $5 tables.
4. Played 4 different $5 tables spreading $5 to $50. Was
not wonging, But Left tables when count went too
negative or things just weren't going my way. Last
table put me over the top as my high count bets went my
way. Left with a modest profit.
Of interest:
One table I experienced 5 of 6 players being dealt a 20,
the 6th player a T,9 and the dealer showing a 10.
(that's 12 tens folks out of 13 cards showing!)
Dealer turns over a 6 and draws a 5 for 21 !!!!!
That was the end of that table for me.
Fortunately, I think this was just a statistical fluke
as the other tables never demonstrated this type of
card distribution.
When I tried to get the dealer to move back the cut card,
a player asked me why I wanted it moved back. I told him
that when we get a good shoe, I wanted it to last longer.
He said he would rather see a bad shoe end sooner. I then
responded that he should be more optimistic. Interesting
what people think.
Dealers and pit personnel were the most friendly I have ever
seen. Even if cut was terrible, it was a pleasant
experience.
Now the dilema, to play the SUN with 6 decks 4 dealt
with good rules or to play Foxwoods with 8 decks, 6 dealt
and somewhat average rules at best?????????
(sorry I can't afford the few Foxwoods 6 deck games)
Or bag it altogether????
Nice choice!
good luck
Dave
