K-O vs. TKO in single and double deck

Posted by T-Hopper on Tuesday, 27 January 1998, at 7:56 p.m., in response to KO vs TKO, ? for T-Hop, posted by Ken Fuchs on Tuesday, 27 January 1998, at 10:31 a.m.

Bet spreads are from 1-2 to 1-5 for single deck and 1-4 to 1-10 for double deck. The figures quoted below are Initial Bet Advantage(Units Won/Units Bet).

Single Deck Double Deck

----------- -----------
K-O BS 0.37%-1.19% 0.56%-1.22%
TKO BS 0.37%-1.22% 0.55%-1.20%

K-O Full 1.08%-2.23% 1.05%-1.92%
TKO Full 1.15%-2.24% 1.09%-1.96%

The basic strategy win rates are basically identical in single and double deck whether true count conversion is used or not.

Full system win rates start off with a .09% advantage in single deck and .07% in double deck for using true count conversion. Increasing bets on positive counts reduces this figure when expressed as % of total action.

So even though my figures show a .04% gain instead of .01% in double deck, I still feel that true count conversion is not very important for K-O players in these games. I do not have six deck figures for TKO basic strategy but when I do I will post those as well.

The extra .03% difference that I show is probably due to the indices that were not included in Bert's study, which I believe used only 57 numbers. Many of the indices which he surely excluded are negative count numbers which only the true count could profit from. So unless you use negative index numbers your gain is going to be closer to .01% than .04% for the true count conversion.
