If you count the 7 instead of the 2, the count is called Uston Plus/Minus. It has a higher playing efficiency but a lower betting efficiency than High-Low. If you feel you must use a balanced count, High-Low is a better choice since Uston Plus/Minus has only a small advantage in single deck but High-Low is much better when playing against 2 or more decks. Count both the 2s and the 7s and you will get the best of both. In addition to the K-O running count system, my book will cover T-Hop 1 and T-Hop 1 Plus, which are playing strategy systems designed to significantly increase the gain from the K-O count to unprecedented levels for +/- 1 card counting systems.
