Harry- Thank U for the appology, I'm just glad the war is over, I guess U can't judge a book by his lame ass opener and I do have to say I had a ripe one. I just can't think why we made a string out of it. We all do things that we wish we didn't but at least we had fun doing them (somthing to tell our grandchildren). I like U am only into advantage play, but what is advantage play and when does it cross the line. Card counting for many year was look at as a form of cheating by the casinos until someone took them to court over the issue (better yet the casino took them to court). Now we have a nice little law that says card counting is legal as long as we do it in our heads and don't use a computer or any type of devise; section @75-76-303 @465.075 It is unlawful for any person at a licensed gaming establishment to use, or posses with the intent to use, any device to assist; a. in projecting the outcome of the game; b. in keeping track of the cards played; c. in analyzing the probability of the occurrences of an event relating to the game; or d. in analyzing the strategy for playing or betting to be used in the game, except as permitted by the commission.
This opens a hole new playground, as long as we do it in our heads it's legal!! So where do we go from here? Shuffle tracking is the next step beyond card counting and only best done in a team, kind of like using a girlfreind for an insurance side-count. Or how about trying to improve ones game by dealer tells, good luck finding a casino that doesn't have a reader, better luck finding a casino that still checks under tens. But lets say you find a casino with half way good rules, no reader, and dealer checks under aces only, how many people do U know that can rip into this dealer? Steve Forte's info. is outdated but some of it can still be used. Last but not least I've got to say something for ace location, an art in its self, all one need is a mnemonics system that is easy for him (I have a post on one of these boards), a good cross-over, two time, or three time shuffle (I don't know of any casino still doing a one time shuffle but if U know of one please let me know), and thats all there is to it except for a week or two of practice on the target betting & rap around.
These are all tools that we have for fighting the casino and they're all legal. As long as we do everything in our heads they have no case, but counting will always be the main tool.
And on and on I go, sorry Harry I didn't mean to talk your ear off, I just ramble on sometimes. I did really like your letter and I thank you BUT WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP CALLING ME A GRIFFTER???? And by the way you were wrong the first book wasn't "MARKED CARDS AND LOADED DICE" by FRANK GARCIA, It was "JOHN SCARNE ON DICE" (Baa ha ha!!) I hope U read his blackjack book.
