Check out Wong's "Professonal Blackjack", if you want something that's not in it, try bjmath.com. I don't play hi-lo but I know Wong's book is usually considered to be the best, when it comes information on the hi-lo. In my opinion, and I'm no expert, if you have been playing a long time, it's easier to play a level 2 system, rather than side-counting. I played hi-opt1 with ace side count for over a year, but now play Zen, with no side counts, and find it much easier, I can play much longer without losing concentration, but thats just me, I guess some people find it easier, or more worth while to side count. I know I haven't answered your specific questions, but thats because I don't know the exact answers and don't want to give bad answers, but it's been a few days and no one has respnded to your post. I figured if I do maybe someone else will take notice of your post and agree with me or offer better advice.
