When you lose all bets on doubles and splits if the dealer has blackjack, basic strategy says to never double or split against an ace or ten except split AA vs. dealer ten. There nay be an index number for doubling 11 vs. 10, but I haven't looked at this yet. Even with a very big spread, you can't make very much counting cards when much more than a deck and a half is cut off. Take advantage of the ability to spread big even if you have a relatively small bankroll by betting more at very high counts.
