Much obliged j-dub! I am not as much of a "techie" as most web-going 21 players. I tried to find that thing on the bjmath site last night which TH mentioned in a post last week. Couldn't find it, not sure what it does, but I think it's the '90s version of the "10 million computer dealt hands" Revere used to write about.

I think the T-Hop sounds good because it is suppposed to do well in SD & DD games. I avoid ANYTHING other than single deck. I always figured I give up something by playing downtown because of the Hit Soft 17 rule, but my comfort level there is HIGH and that makes up for a lot. TH-1 will allow me to jump into those DD games everywhere. Unttil your post, I'd almost ggiven up on finding the TH-1, but I'll keep trying. When I started playing, the only single deck on the strip was the $100 table at Ceasars.

Your advice is much appreciated. I always play SD, best rules I can find downtown and as much penetration as I can find. Found great pen at the $5 SD table at SOF last weekend, but they wiped me out! I'm going back next weekend, possibly Sun-Mon. Tempted to stay with the Horseshoe and El Cortez, my comfort zones. If I feel bold this time, maybe I'll try the Golden Gate! The Westward Ho looked good last time, but it's too close to the Slots!

On another topic: Noticed that the EC put new decks into play at about 1pm Sunday, just when all the LA weekenders were gonna "win back" what they'd lost Saturday night. Smart move on the pit's part, but I learned a big lesson about new decks. Tens for the dealer stiffs for the players! Yet, I had two hands, T-9 & T-T. Dealer pulled a 3-card 21! Still NOT GOOD. Now I'm so paranoid, I'm almost ready to walk up and ask how "old" the deck is before I play!

May the edge stay in your favor most of the time.
