Doubling 8,9,T clarified

Why count doubling on 11 as +? Then we get 12, not good, and it gives the dealer a better chance of making their hand. I don't understand that.
You said the ace is a good card for us to catch except for 10 vs 10 and 10 vs A. Dont you mean that it is only good for 10 vs 10 (mirror 10 vs 10) and 10 vs A?
Also, why would it not stand to reason that when doubling 8 or 9s that getting us an ace on our next card would give us a pretty good hand? Is it because then at this point the ace works against us letting the dealer make their hand? Perhaps it does on doubling faces as well because in the event we dont get 21 then the dealer has 1 or 11 to work with.
The bottom line is doubling on 8,9,T using halves playing count does worse using halves/aces playing count because when we are in this position, it gives the dealer a better chance of making their hand when we double 8,9. But darnit, a 19 and 20 are not bad hands!!! Nevertheless I have to trust my SIM and my sim says doubling 8,9,T with an ace-reckoned system does worse.
And when doubling T vs T of course we want use ace-reckoned count indexes instead to determine richness of aces (mirror) because we know the dealer doesnt have bj. For non mirror tables we dont want the count to be rich in aces so we would prefer ace-removal side counts and indexes. Since I was simming with non-mirror play then naturally my SCORE would be less, again because the ace is working against me in an ace-reckoned count using ace-reckoned indexes.
Overall I am being punished for doubling 8,9,T using halves & halves indicies instead of halves/aces counting system and halves/aces indexes. This doesnt sit right with me since I am getting good hands of 19 and 20, and winning my doubles on Ts against everything except faces (For faces perhaps losing to a blackjack is the big expense).
Unfortunately SBA 5.0 doesnt give you the option to double 8,9s only using the havles betting count and and just the betting count for doubling Ts against 2 through 9 and against aces.
If I do the sim with doubling Ts only using halves indexes on a mirror table (knowing the dealer doesnt have blackjack) then I should improve the SCORE. I will see what happens. Im running it right now.
Correct me if I am wrong please.
