does it matter if there are many players

I have a question for an expert. From what I have read statistics for card counting a based from a high speed computer simulation of head on play. I know that head can produce more money becuase of more hands per hour but does it also produce more becuase when the count is really high you put out more money you know that the rich cards will come out to either you or the dealer. when its a crowded table you put out big money on high count and the first three hands in front of you are 10 or aces and now the count has changed but you cannot pull back your bet. thanks
