There is Always 21 "Backcounting"

++ Kelly criterion betting is never "exact" -
you cannot bet $27.71 on a hand. Also, if you
overbet your "advantage" you could lose money.
++ Backcounting a Shoe, then jumping in with
a bet appropriate for your bankroll is still
worthwhile...but fewer casinos allow this. If
you scale your bets at a 21 Table, the casino
will catch you -because they all use Software
to evaluate 21 players. Kelly-style bets are
easy for "Eye-in-the-Sky, with SW" to catch.

++ Have you considered flat-betting a 1D game,
using count "indices" to get an advantage??

Good Luck.....JDLR Bill+++++++++++++++++++++++
