Reading the Reports

There will be much more information in the books, but here's a breif guide.


RC or TC Runnning Count or True Count
Freq Frequency of each count occurring at the beginning of a round
Adv % Advantage
Var Variance
Opt. Bet Optimal bet
ROR% The risk of ruin used to calculate bankroll requirements
Min Bet Units Figures given in terms of the smallest bet
Max Bet Units Figures given in terms of the largest bet
Win/100 Expected win per 100 hands
SD/100 Standard deviation per 100 hands
Mini-Bank The number of units required for a 10% risk of ruin. A bankroll should
include two or more mini-banks for different levels of stakesROI Win/100 divided by Mini-Bank.

Bet Spreads
1-1 Flat betting, play all hands
0-1 EV Bet 1 unit with any advantage. Even with a 0 unit bet, the hand is still
played.
0-1 ROI Bet 0-1 units with the goal of maximizing ROI.
0-2 ROI Bet 0-2 units with the goal of maximizing ROI.
1-2, 1-3 etc. Bet 1-x units with the goal of maximizing ROI.
Safest Bet 1-? units with the goal of minimizing Mini-Bank required. Always try to
bet at least this much, even if the amount listed is greater than your
normal top bet.
