Non-bet spread counting?

Posted by Calib Vincent on 2 November 2002, at 2:41 a.m.

Hi, I'm new to card counting, employing a simple hi/lo system on multidecks with some of the major bs variations. As I'm not yet prepared to put big money on the line (a bank roll of a few hundred dollars is already big for me), I'm wondering if there are any other ways to capitalise on the knowledge brought by cc than employing large bet spreads.

How helpful is it, for instance, to scan the tables for a good count before starting to play? To what degree would playing just bs (with the variations) be enough to give me an edge over the house?

Thanks!
