Start at -4 * Decks in play, not -4 * Decks in play +4 as recommended in Knock Out Blackjack. Your neutral deck count will be -4, the equivalent of 0 with a balanced count. Other than that, it works exactly the same way! And in single and double deck games, there is no need to compute TC for betting. The running count will give you equal or better performance in almost all cases. You need the TC for mostly for close playing decisions, or for betting & table departure in shoes.
