My personal favorite is 4-deck, but you don't find too many of these games any more.

Two deck is also nice when you can find good penetration but you can get barred too easy. Six deck is just fine which is the game I play most. A combination of looking for good games with good penetration and/or good shuffles keeps me in the money.

You can forget single deck for anything except nickel play. And even if I find a good single deck game in a casino I am usually reluctant to play it because it is so much easier for the casino to identify me as a card counter in single deck as opposed to a multi-deck game.
