KO is a little better at single deck than Hi/Lo. Red 7 may be the better choice for shoes, particularly if you are wonging in/out and flat betting, because the pivot is at a good wong-point. There's so little difference between KO and Red-7 that it shouldn't be any problem to switch back and forth.

I have develped a system that has a simple basic count, but has add-ons for single deck that enhance the effectiveness quite significantly.
