Re: The CORE system

Scott Frank's CORE system, published in his book, Blackjack for Winners, is worthless. I reviewed it in the September 1993 Blackjack Forum. Any card counting system that counts only the 5s, 6s, 7s, and 8s, will be extremely weak, no matter how you use the information. Frank considers these to be the "CORE" cards. Without having some idea of the number of tens and aces, you will nevcr know when to raise or lower your bets. Frank's book advises players to develop their "intuition," and to recognize "trends" in order to bet properly. It's just more TARGET/NBJ-type nonsense.
