Re: Nobody plays at shoe

I was in Vegas from 7-7-97 to7-12-97. The Horse-
shoe has more people than any other casino during
the night. On weekdays they had at least five full
dice tables (10 or more players) and a few tables
half full. They had at about ten blackjack tables
with three or more players and some with less
players and some empty tables. I spent three
weekday nights there from about 8:00pm until about
8:00am. During these hours they have more players
at dice than any other casino I visited(about 20).
They also had at least as many blackjack players,
probably more, than any of the others casino I
visited on the other weekdays(about 20). I rented
a car and many casinos I walked around and left
within fifteen minutes without playing because they
were almost empty. Harrahs has excellent 6-deck
blackjack. The Alladin has excellent 6-deck black-
jack but the dealers take the cards out of the
shuffle masters and the dealer cuts the cards, not
the players. The Stratosphere has the same good
rules as above two but they cut off 2 or more
decks and change dealers every 20 minutes. The
Imperial Palace doesn't post their rules. They were
good last year so I played there this year. During
play I couldn't resplit aces and couldn't surrender
so I left. The Horseshoe has all single deck
blackjack with some good games but I didn't play
there because I only played the shoe games. I
played almost all dice this year.
