My suggestion is to establish your criteria/standards and then come up with a list of specific questions and grades. Interested people meeting your minimum requirements (author, 200 hours of gaming with $bankroll, lessons learnt, etc..) would then be allowed to take part in answering the questions. The top scoring 5%(?) would be the candidates for free membership. You can select as many as you want (how about 21?). This would make it interesting and objective. We use similar type of process for the selection of professional Consulting Architects and Engineers for our projects.
