I always say, "it's my money and I'll play any way I want to.
Put your money on my spot, then I'll play however way you want
me to." That usually shuts them up.
A few days ago, the player to my right had a 16 against dealer
10. He thought for a while, then the dealer said,
"Insurance?" He replied, "I never insure, that's only for
wimps!" Player to my left loudly agreed with him. He then
hit and busted. I had a 15 and surrendered (the count called
for it). No one said a word.
Just don't give a s__t what they say or think, and play your
game.
