Well actually...
The concept does have merit for advanced players at casinos that have strict enforcement of # of rounds at SD - in Vegas both The Horseshoe and The Fiesta rules dictate that heads-up play (single player hand) receive 5 rounds then shuffle, whereas 2 hands (whether by one player or 2) recieve 4 rounds then shuffle.
In the latter case, a player playing 2 hands heads-up (easy for green and black chip players to get at the aforementioned clubs) could utilize the concept, as I have. Just playing 2 hands heads up for 4 rounds buys considerable penetration and is superior to receiving 5 rounds to 1 hand.
