If you want to play full time, and especially if you want to play mostly in one city, you have to be willing to play shoe games part of the time. Even in Las Vegas, if you just play double deckers, they will begin to see too much of you. When your BR gets over $50K would be a good time to start playing the better 6 deck games in town on a regular basis. I would also at least double the stakes with that kind of money to play with. $50-250 on one hand or 2 hands of $25-$125. Finally, you will sometimes only get a little better than 50% penetration, and to make such a game worth playing you need to use at least an aggressive 1-8 spread, with frequent jumps of 1-4 or 2-8 and down again. If you're not comfortable with this, choose dealers carefully.
