Opened my eyes

I haven't visited this site in several months. I used to ridicule those who promoted progression betting, BUT a recent experience has made me curious. Last weekend, a dealer actually convinced a player who was on a pretty good streak to use a progression technique. The guy had been making $5 flat bets, but ended winning $800 in about an hour after listening to the dealer. I had been playing over 12 hrs. at the time and couldn't follow the dealers line of reasoning. I was down less than $100 waiting for that rare hot streak (my typical method of playing). The problem with my method is that fatique becomes the enemy and if it stretches into 24-30 hrs., the weekend is shot and you feel like death warmed over.

Could I possibly get a rundown on the major progression theories?
