Do Red Chip players get any respect?

Posted by MLBScout on 25 August 1999, at 9:27 p.m.

Im currently a BS player, and while playing in casinos in LV I like to think that if I float a decent buy-in and play for a reasonable amount of time, I should at least earn a free buffet for one.....Wrong! Late one night there was a couple of red chip tables at the Rio. I picked up a Players Card and was on my way to the tables when I looked at the back of my card which read something to the effect of "we only rate players betting $25 minimum". Im outta here!! Dont get me wrong, I can afford to pay 10 stones for a buffett, but it's more the principle of the thing. I normally buy-in for $100-200 at a time and usually play a reasonable amount of time. I could risk my dough anywhere, but I chose to play here. I still think I should be noticed eventhough Im playing $5 a hand.

On the way out of LV I stopped at StateLine (Buffalo Bills). I bought in for $200 and played several sessions for a total of about 9 hrs. My play was being tracked from the beginning and when i was done I asked the Pit Goon if I had played long enough to get something to eat. He looked me up in the computer and told me there was nothing he could do for me. As it turned out, the previous pit bosses from the day before didnt enter my rating sheets in the computer and my play from the previous day wasnt logged. Athough he did see me buy in for $150 that day.

Us Red Chippers like to feel like Big Shots too.

Still hungry.....
