Barring poll
Posted by Bootlegger on 12 September 1999, at 7:34 p.m.
I've been following Michael's poll on barring with interest. I am surprised to see that the respondents have so far voted 2 to 1 that casinos should not be allowed to bar card counters. If there would be some way to preserve the games we now see in Las Vegas, Northern Nevada or Mississippi, then I would agree with that. However, if casinos were unable to bar counters, what we would be likely to see are games that are simply unbeatable by counters. If the casinos don't have the safety net of being able to bar the few counters that can actually have an effect on their bottom line, they will not offer an attractive game.
