Depends on you point of reference

LV is about the safest place I can think of, but that's considering that I used to live and work in the heart of some pretty ugly "downtowns" in cities with crime statistics to rival Dan Marino's passing record!

If you ask me, thet strip is safer than Disneyland, as long as you stay on the strip.

DT is safe too, if you stay on Freemont, "under the umbrella". The most danger you'll find is walking to the El Cortez, but I reccomend you risk it. It won't be long before there will be no more old "gambling halls" like Gaughan's El Cortez. I enjoy the old-fashioned BJ experience. If you have a cigarrete smoke allergy or can't stand to be among the unwashed (and I mean that) masses, then stay on Freemont and don't vetnure through the Neon Museum to the EC.

Be sure you cab it between strip and downtown.

Hope it helps.
