On gambling system scams and the like!

Posted by Michael Dalton on 5 November 1999, at 11:49 a.m., in response to Re: Gambling On-Line, posted by Jimboo on 4 November 1999, at 11:43 a.m.

I would normally remove this message since it so obviously a promotion for some silly roulette system.

However, since things around here have been slow recently, I thought it might be interesting to comment on systems of this kind that you find all over the Internet.

First of all, I agree with Cyrus who posted parallel to this post and I cannot believe there are people out there who buy into this stuff.

Second of all, roulette cannot be beaten with any betting system... period! Roulette cannot be beaten with any "MATHEMATICALLY-FORMULATED" method either! The house advantage cannot be overcome as is mentioned in this advertisement and there is no such thing as a winning cycle until after the winning cycle is over! The advertisement is a scam! Notice how the ad talks about "fixed percentages" on the one hand, which is correct, then talks about a "win probability factor" on the other making you believe they are one in the same. This system, and others like it, may indeed increase your win probability but increasing your chances of winning also means increasing your chancing of a bigger loss when the "fixed percentage" of the game finally catches up to you -- which it no doubt will!

Advise: Stay clear... danger ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!
