Re: Practice routines?

A few years back, I switched from hi-opt1 to zen, and had some difficulties in getting my speed to where I thought it should be. I stumbled across a method that, at least for me, improved my speed dramatically. I just let someone else turn the cards, and place them around the table, rather than in one nice neat pile. I would get into a rhythm turning the cards myself, with someone else, you can't do that so much, you don't know when the cards will stick for them, or when they will be quicker or slower. After about a week of practicing 2 or 3 hours a day, I could count as fast as they could turn cards. Once your speed gets under 20 seconds, it's all easier, you won't look obvious because you don't have to follow the cards as they come out, all you need is a quick glance at them. Hope it works for you too.
