Do you know personally in in your gambling experience of anyone who achieved that kind of success, turning 40k into almost a milion?

I can't speak for gehrig, but I do know personally a few folks who have turned far less than 40K into a million with gambling. Some have done it strictly with blackjack, others I know have done it with a variety of games, generally including poker, sports betting and even video poker. It is certainly within the realm of possibility, but it is not easy. Most who try don't make it.
