Re: Dealer Cheating

I have always believed the rhetoric allowed by most BJ writers that it doesn't happen. Most logic applied says that it shouldn't happen becasue of the risk/reward ratio.

However.... I've spent a lot of time in LV casinos over the last year and I'll tell you, it sure seems to be there! I am working on a detailed trip report which will include some of the instances I witnessed. Generally, you see it in hand held games.

That said, I must say that I "befriended" a dealer or two and they seemed to be "cheating" to my advantage. When "a-hole" players joined the game, it was like the dealer and I were on a team vs. this jerk. The bad guy would always bust and I'd make a hand or be dealt a 20 or 21!

I've had the most success using Zen against 2-deck games. Since these tend to be hand held, I figure I've gotta work on cultivating dealer friendships or stick with novice dealers.

One 59 yr-old male dealer who had booked 12+ years in a MAJOR LV Casino and now works for a Mandalay property was so obviously yanking the deck around with both hands before cards were dealt that I'd have to say... "cheat happens"
