about that ? for years, i've kept an ace side count. the obvious use is that on close decisions of doubling 10's or 11's, soft doubles of a6-a7, or in this case, insurance, the *relative* composition of a plus count (aces/10's) is important. clearly if the plus count is disproportionately composed of aces, then i might duck an 11 double against a ten, or be less likely to split aces against a ten or ace.
