SPLITING 10'S
Posted by SPEEDY on 15 May 2001, at 8:49 p.m.
I have played quite a lot of BJ in many casinos around the country. I do not count but I do play mostly the basic system and have done quite well. Over the years I have made several thousand dollars at the game. Since I have had a chance to play online free games I have played thousands of hands watching the results. It seems to me that spliting 10's against a 4,5, or 6 is a pretty good bet. I know you will get lots of grief at the table "don't split winners!" etc, in fact I have given my share of guff to 10 spliters over the years. Since all the advice I have seen on this site seems to say one should always double on 10 against a 4,5, or 6, I do not see why you would not split the pair. I have been unable to find any math as opposed to opinion on the subject. Am I clueless in Dakota?
