There are advantages and disadvantages.
You have the mechanistic steadiness of shuffling by machines. You know there's less of tampering by dealer intention or unsteady moods and behavior. ATMs do not discriminate or become emotional or angry like tellers do.
Machines at least do not cheat or emotiona (even though I've seen them sometimes malfunction and chew some cards!). Humans are emotional. Can be tired, angry, sloppy, sleepy, etc., and this may affect their shuffling.
Experienced people may observe and take some advantage of dealer weakness in shuffling errors.
I feel shuffling machines more attractive as it makes me not get angry like when dealers make unfavorable mistakes making me unhappy.
What makes you feel comfortable is important this game. Anthing that irks you may take away your attention and forget your strategy- like too much alcohol, emotionalism, etc.
