Hi Cyrus

You really explained the "balanced approach" to BJ gaming brilliantly.

It is important that a "complete picture" is painted rather than a small part of it, in order to convey the appropriate message or reveal the "real story" in connection with the larger BJ gaming effort. Partial views are at best partial and therefore incomplete and may mislead the inexperienced player. Again, you have done a great job. I have read also your "basket" post. It is a better description than the term "shoe".

In my post to you dated 2 June 1998, at 4:13 a.m. my 4th paragraph read:

"Technical ability comes through dedication and practice. But most of all, this game takes an incredible amount of heart. It takes an iron will and a fierce determination to succeed. It takes physical stamina, nerves of steel, and an inordinate amount of discipline and self-control. Without all of the latter, the former (technical skills) is meaningless."

That was from "BJ Attack, Playing The Pros' Way" by Don Schlesinger (Pages 5 and 6). Furthermore, my last paragraph read:

"You're no more than 55% favorite to beat any one casino during any one session. If you make it a crusade to stay until you beat them all (you can't, no matter how much you want to, anyway), you're making a bad mistake." Again, same book, same Author.

He has other gems too, and these reveal to me the kind of conclusions from the "university" of experience that one may "graduate" after many years of gaming trials and tribulations. But that is life. And you also reveal that you know it. It may be invaluable. You may convert some of it into cash!

Best Regards

JJ
