The chance of winning 50% or more of 2000 hands(ignoring ties) is 14.40%. Maybe Bootlegger forgot that the question was 53%, or he might have used a different house edge. The formula is (EV+hands above or below EV)/SQRT(#Hands), which tells you the number of standard deviations from normal the result is. Then the standard normal distribution is used to figure the odds of the result exceeding this many standard deviations.
