Hi all! I need your advice.
I have been studying "card counting" for some time now from books (bought from a very good thrift shop in the neighborhood) and it all looke very promising and thrilling. Both books say I must practice a lot before "hitting the casinos" so that's what I wanna do. They say I should deal myself hundreds of hands on the kitchen table until I know basic strategy "by heart". Then I must count without mistakes, for which pruposes I will again deal lots of hands on the kitchen table. The books say "practice counting player's hands in pairs". However this is not what I want help for. And it's not betting either, for which the instructions say to calculate my "bankroll" and my "betting strategy" so as to avoid ruin - and then practice "camouflage betting" on the kitchen table: "let it ride" after a win etc etc.
My problem is this:
I don't have a kitchen table.
In fact my kitchen is so small that I can't afford a table there. But I have a large living room, where I do all the partying and joshing with my mates, especially when watching cable. Will it be the same practicing blackjack in there or it has to be the kitchen? Every book says the same thing, kitchen. Please don't be harsh in your responses, I'm just starting out..
