observation- counters vs gamblers

It seems that IMHO (and I do count...KOp) that the gamblers that I have observed always have the SD on their side.... for example I was at the Grand in Biloxi July 99... I sat down at a $100 min 2dk...a gambler( a non-counter / or playing a very exotic system) was playing 3 hands of $200 to $1000 ... I played only $100 min since the count was varing from -6 to +2 most of the time . It seemed that HE was making his max bets at the negative counts and winning... I eventually walked away a $900 winner while he left about $8000 to $10000 ahead ..he still grumbled about still being down $5000
