interesting leap of logic...

many portfolios doubled in 1999. you won your bet with the fellows who bought those issues that you sold. ooops, you don't think that investing in the stock market is a game. had the market plummeted, perhaps you would blame such a loss on extraneous factors beyond your control.
how perceptive you must be to encapsulate my or anyone's
abilities, values, or "substance". to paint with such a broad brush requires chutzpah, in the least.
that you ridicule skill in any game is profound. were that the case, you must condemn all competitive events. to some extent, i agree in that many of the high buck sporting events are increasingly dependent on technical assets and decreasingly on the inherent skill of the contestant.
skill as well is used in such smaller, simpler games as day trading, micro managing "floats", even orchestrating discounts on major purchases. these are all games and when played with some skill, either profit the "player" or diminish the player's expenses. i suggest that you play a myriad of games and attempt to apply some skill to each.
