fact is, i'ver never even smoked. life is challenging enough without suffering sickness by your own hand. closest things to "drugs" i consume (ever), are a variety of vitamin pills, some herbal extracts, and green tea.
in the 60's, while you lads were carrying signs, shooting stuff in your arms, "dropping out", i was hitch-hiking. the amount of drugs commonly available in some areas, was incredible. in afghanistan, one might see hashish the size and shape of a discus. in nepal, (kathmandu), there was a "government" ganja shop. it looked like a small bakery. there were a lot of freaky people hitching between nepal/india and istanbul. though out of place here, someday i might relate an interesting event in istanbul.
one thing about acid trips, though. i understand (without having that drug experience), the concept offered by the acid meister, timothy leary. he stated that a result of his "trips" was that he was able to view himself as others might. i liken this to a baseball analogy. that is, that one might be playing on the field, and at the same time observing the entire game, as from the bleachers. at times i refer to this when encouraging you lads/counterazzi to try to view your game, in progress, as might the "oppo", from either the cameras or the pit.
