We are pleased to announce the publication of "Knock-Out Blackjack", a
new book by Olaf Vancura and Ken Fuchs. The book details the "Knock-Out"
system, a new, unbalanced level-1 system (the K-O count) that we designed
to remove the most difficult elements of card-counting while maintaining power
comparable to today's most popular systems. Olaf and I invented the system
late in 1995, and we've been analyzing it in depth until recently. We're
pleased to share this information with you now.
The book is written in an easy-to-read style, complete with anecdotes, sections
on the history of card-counting, basic strategy, and discussions of various
blackjack fallacies. We hope that this is the book for any players who previously
thought card-counting would be too difficult. We are pleased to report that members
of several high-stakes professional teams have already adopted K-O, in a
developmental form, because of its simplicity. This same system is now available
The companion software is produced by LVC Software, and is an excellent workshop
tool to the K-O system. It allows you to practice the K-O system at your leisure,
prompting you with warnings, and summarizing your betting and/or playing performance
at the end of each session. Too, the software can be customized for other
balanced or unbalanced counts via a point-and-click interface to the strategy
charts. There are many other nice features as well.
Enough rambling from me, let's take a look at what some others
are saying about the book:
"***** Outstanding. Highly recommended. Knock-Out Blackjack
is a welcome addition to my library of high quality books on
blackjack. Not only is the K-O unbalanced system a valid and
winning blackjack method, but it ranks as one of the top single-
level counts available to players today. Knock-Out Blackjack also
includes an outstanding history of card counting, good blackjack
tips and tricks, honest side commentary, and stories that bring
home the card counter's cat-and-mouse struggle with the casino."
Michael Dalton, Editor/Publisher of Blackjack Review
"K-O is a simple and powerful card-counting system that deserves
serious consideration, clearly and entertainingly presented."
Edward O. Thorp, Ph.D., Author of Beat the Dealer
"The Knock-Out blackjack system is a very well thought out and clearly presented
system which allows players to obtain a healthy advantage over the casinos. Very
logical and easy-to-follow, an excellent book for any player who is looking for
one of the easiest and strongest professional level systems every published. The
book provides an excellent overview of card-counting from both the historical and
mathematical perspectives, presented in a style which is both scholarly and
easy to read."
Arnold Snyder, Publisher of Blackjack Forum
"There is simply no reason for the aspiring card-counter to consider
anything but an unbalanced count, and the Knock-Out system is the
best of them."
Anthony Curtis, Publisher of Las Vegas Advisor
